I’m pleased to say I have now received my signed Callsign Certificate from ARRL Logbook of the World. LoTW now active and I am now verified on QRZ.com
There are plenty of Arduino based decoders and trainers around, but I prefer Atmel Studio over the Arduino IDE & I wanted a multi function unit.
Finally tested my inverted V with phone on 20m. 13911km away in Oman, A41NN was calling CQ, so I responded for my first real phone QSO on 20m and got a reasonable signal report back
Today was the day, I finally got to test my 10m Vertical Antenna out. At 6.5m (21ft) high, my signal was low but it got me into Australia this afternoon and at 3258 km away I thought that was pretty successful.
Thanks to Digi-Key running their #DigiWish again this year, I am now the proud owner of a BeagleBone Black Wireless board. Having owned Raspberry Pi’s for some time, it’s nice to finally get a change to have a real play with a BeagleBone Black that is not in a fuel pump.
